  1. Community Meeting: Reimagine 419 Draft Plan Reveal

    March 23, 2017, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM @ South County Library

    The final Reimagine 419 community meeting to reveal the draft plan is scheduled for March 23. The planning team will present the components of the draft 419 Town Center Plan, including implementation. The draft Plan is a culmination of ideas and strategies based on both market opportunities and the engagement of hundreds of residents and stakeholders over the past six months. The presentation will reveal: - Redevelopment scenarios for specific places in the study area; - Transportation improvements to make the entire area more walkable, bikeable, accessible and connected; - Public space improvements; and - A phasing strategy to identify near- and long-term development approaches. There will be time for participants to review the complete list of strategies and weigh in on which are most important! Members of the public who have and have not been engaged in the study are encouraged to attend. CORTRAN and STAR service will be extended until 9 p.m.

    All ages welcome and independent adults 60+ are invited to participate in a Laughter Yoga Study. Laughter releases endorphins. 20 minutes of laughter = 20 minutes of aerobic exercise, strengthens the immune system, reduces stress, improves relationships, and nurtures a positive attitude. Study participants are asked to attend 3 out of 5 sessions. Mondays, March 13 and 27; Thursdays March 16, 23 and 30.
