The Roanoke County Police Department strives to provide the citizens of Roanoke County with the best possible police services. The department does this through many successful community programs and a dedicated workforce.

National Accreditation


The Roanoke County Police Department is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies. The department has maintained national accreditation since November 1997.

Staffing


The department has an assigned strength of 140 sworn officers and 14 civilian support staff positions. These employees do their best to provide the citizens of Roanoke County excellent police service.
