Our deputies provide three main areas of service to the community--corrections, court security, and civil process. The Roanoke County Sheriff's Office has a total of 101 including sworn,part time and civilian personnel.

On July 28th, The Roanoke County Sheriff's Office will be at the Villages of Garst Creek from 11:30AM to 1:30PM, and at Peters Creek Apartments from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. We have teamed up with the Roanoke County Police Department and Roanoke County Fire and Rescue to give out FREE ICE CREAM. There will also be official vehicles, coloring books, stickers, and more!
June 10, 2016 - The Roanoke County Sheriff's Office intends to apply for the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant ( JAG) for $15,426.00 for community education programs.
