The Communications and Information Technology Department (CommIT) provides emergency communications and technology that enhances citizen safety and ensures access to Roanoke County government services and information.

The CommIT Department is focused on providing the best-in-class services to both internal and external customers. The department operates under a unified leadership focused on seven primary strategic goals to ensure the success of the department's mission.
