Juneteenth

Juneteenth (a word blending June and nineteenth) is a holiday set aside to celebrate the emancipation of those enslaved in the United States. Stop by any library from 10am-5pm on Saturday, June 19, and pick up your own copy of the Emancipation Proclamation, a bit of history about the holiday, and other giveaways. You’ll also be entered into a drawing for a basket of larger items, including a hardback copy of the Emancipation Proclamation, copy of On Juneteenth by Annette Gordon-Reed, bookmark, library mug, and other library swag.
