SALEM – During the week of June 16, flashing yellow arrow signals, new signals that allow permissive left turns, and updated signs to existing signals will be installed in the following locations in the Roanoke area. Weather permitting, work is expected to take place at 9:30 a.m. on June 16 and 17 with June 18 as a rain date.
A flashing yellow arrow installation will take place at the intersection of Franklin Road at Penarth on June 16 at 9:30 a.m.
A flashing yellow arrow installation will take place at the intersection of Brambleton Avenue at Garst Mill Road/Valley Forge Avenue on June 17 at 9:30 a.m.
New signs to be installed on the signals at Route 220 at Catawba Road.
New signs to be installed on the signal at Route 220 at Orchard Market.
Lane closures will be in place and police will control traffic through the intersections. Drivers are encouraged to use caution in the work zone.
