Turn in your unused or expired medications for safe disposal. Turn in your unused or expired medications for safe disposal on Saturday, September 26, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Did you know the most common place that teens get prescription drugs is from the home medicine cabinet and friends? Help fight prescription drug abuse and protect out valley's waterways from unwanted prescription drug contamination by bringing your unused prescriptions to one of the Roanoke County locations listed below.

Four convenient locations in Roanoke County:

Kroger at Tanglewood Mall
Kroger at Valley Gateway Blvd.
Fire and Rescue Station #1 on Hershberger Road
Kroger in Vinton at Hardy Road

Other valley locations you can visit include
Berglund Center
Kroger at Daleville
Super Shoes, Main Street in Salem

No appointment is necessary and the public is welcome. Simply bring your medications to this event where they can be safely collected and destroyed by local law enforcement and DEA agents.
