[ARCHIVED] Tree felling is expected to begin this week in Roanoke County

Tree felling is expected to begin this week in Roanoke County. Based on legal filings and conversations with company representatives, this is what we know of the project schedule to date:

Construction stages/crews
  1. Tree felling (Expected to start in early to mid-March)
  2. Erosion and sediment controls (Expected to start in mid to late April)
  3. Tree processing (Expected to start in mid to late April)
  4. Segregating the topsoil
  5. Grading
  6. Building the Right-of-Way
  7. Trenching
  8. Stringing (trucks delivering the pipes)
  9. Bending
  10. Welding (automated)
  11. Coating
  12. Lowering (placing in trench)
  13. Backfill
  14. Restoration
