Join the FOL

Members of the Friends of the Library (FOL) organization are people who believe a strong public library is essential to Roanoke Valley, contribute their support to achieve this goal, and work for a cause important to them and to their community.

Join us in support of the library you love! The Friends of the Library group is a non-profit fundraising group that advocates and supports library reading programs for all ages, professional development, the value of libraries, volunteerism, fundraising, and donations to the library.

How to Support As a Member:

• Advocate the value of libraries

• Volunteer opportunities

• Participate in fundraising

• Support library programs

Benefits of Friends:

Of course, there are other perks from joining the Friends of the Library:

• Preview semi-annual book sales

• Help raise money to fund programs, including Summer Reading for all ages

• First-look & discounts for Friends of the Library sponsored events

• Spring membership dinner

• Community involvement

Membership Dues:

• Individual: $15/year

• Family: $20/year

Why join? Libraries promote literacy for all ages and provide amenities that are enriching lives. RCPL is a dynamic resource for the community.
