Presented by the Better Business Bureau. BBB Serving Western Virginia discusses the most common holiday scams, scam tactics, and smart holiday shopping tips. BBB will also educate on the prevention, detection, and recovery process of scams.

1,000 Books Before Kindergarten

Reading aloud to babies, toddlers, and preschoolers helps them develop important early literacy skills. RCPL is committed to supporting every child on their journey to reading. Plus, did you know that listening to our virtual storytimes count as titles read? Be sure to check out our YouTube channel for storytimes and sign up for Zoom storytimes on our website.

Ancestry Remote Access

As of December 31, 2021 Ancestry will no longer be offering remote access to their site. We will still have Ancestry available for in-library use at all RCPL locations. Questions? Give us a call at 540-772-7507.

Books for Sale at South County's FOL Shop

Holiday Shopping at the Library

If you’re looking to purchase books as gifts this year swing by the South County Library and visit the FOL book shop. Books that are new or like new are for sale for low prices. Proceeds support library events and programs, like the Summer Reading Program.

RCPL will close at 5pm on Wed., Dec. 22 and reopen on Mon., Dec. 27
