September is Library Card Sign-up Month!

Sign up for a library card! From borrowing books, ebooks, and museum passes to getting homework help, learning new skills, or attending story time, a library card helps you do more of what you enjoy. Get a library card and dive into a new hobby. Use your library card to tinker in a maker space and spark your creativity. A library card is your most important tool—it's elemental, really—and everyone should have one!

A library card opens up a world of possibilities. Begin your adventure with eBooks, premium databases, and material check outs today. Your library card gives you access to all Roanoke Valley Libraries: Botetourt, City of Roanoke, City of Salem, and Roanoke County.

Stop by any RCPL location this month. New card holders will be entered to win a swag bag! If you already have a library card, great! Show it to us for a piece of swag.

Children can adopt a pet and make them their own library card as they get their first card! Don't worry, pets are small stuffed animals.

Your Roanoke County Friends of the Library is 30 this year!

Help the Friends of the Library with a membership drive. The Friends are looking for 30 new members throughout the month of September! Each new member will be entered to win a $30 Kroger gift card. All new members will receive a 15% off a single item Barnes and Noble coupon, too.

If you are a current member and refer a Friend, you'll be entered into a drawing for another $30 Kroger gift card. Your referral must put your name on their FOL application to be entered to win. And, did you know? The FOL are a part of Kroger's community rewards programs! When you shop, we earn money!
