1. What typical features are part of a map?

A header, citation, legend, north arrow, and scale.

2. How do I request a customized map?

Email your request to the GIS & Mapping Support Staff.

3. How do you account for visual impairments like color vision deficiency (CVD) in the Department's map design?

The County uses a variety of symbols and/or patterns instead of colors, if possible. If colors are necessary, then high contrast colors are used.

4. Where are my water/sewer lines?

Your utility lines can be viewed by clicking “Map Layers” button above the search bar in OneView, then clicking the “Utilities” checkbox under “Layers.” However the GIS maps are not an accurate depiction of field locations.

5. How accurate are the property lines on GIS maps?
