Regular meetings of the Board of Supervisors are held at the Roanoke County Administrator Center - 5204 Bernard Drive, SW - Roanoke, Virginia 24018. The meetings are held at 3:00 p.m. Any changes to this schedule will be advertised at least two weeks in advance. The Board meetings are broadcast live on RVTV, Channel 3, and will be rebroadcast following the meeting on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 4:00 p.m.

Stop by the Glenvar Library and pick up a kit to create your own beauty product. Kits are available starting on the first of each on a first come, first served basis.

Are you new at genealogy and want tips on how to get started? Have you been doing genealogy for a long time and want to share your knowledge? Come to the Roanoke County Genealogy Club which meets online the first Wednesday of the month from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.. In the club, we talk about the research we are doing and have a time when participants can ask any genealogy related question. This is a great way to network with other genealogy researchers. The club also has a Facebook page where you can ask and answer genealogy questions. Feeding Southwest Virginia’s Meals to Go is part of the children and teen programs at the Vinton Library to reach youth after school in neighborhoods and partner programs where other meal options are not easily accessible. Children and Teens (up to age 18) may stop by the Vinton Library from 3-5pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to pick up pre-packaged meals. Mondays: Pick up meals for Monday and Tuesday Wednesdays: Pick up meals for Wednesday and Thursday Fridays: Pick up meals for Friday and Saturday. FSWVA is an equal opportunity provider.
