  2. End of Summer Reading Program: Let's Reach Our Goal!

    We are so close to reaching the reading goal. The community has read 14,060 books. For the Friends of the Library to donate to Feeding Southwest VA we need to get to 15,000 books by August 8. We can do this! Visit the Beanstack website to log your titles or give us a call at 540-772-7507 and we can help. Plus if you have read three books this summer you complete the program and will win a prize! Prizes are available for pick up via curbside. Visit our Path to Reopening page for details.

    Are you a fan of murder mysteries? Join Alexandria for her second Agatha Christie book club meeting. This time featuring 4:50 from Paddington, a Miss Marple mystery. Agatha Christie was a prolific mystery writer, publishing over 60 novels, numerous plays and short stories. "Miss Marple is a white-haired old lady with a gentle, appealing manner — Miss Weatherby is a mixture of vinegar and gush. Of the two Miss Marple is much more dangerous." - The Murder at the Vicarage Known to be an attractive wry spinster with a glint of sparkle in her observant blue eyes, Miss Marple is a bit of a nosy gossip.
