Wonder Packs for Kids!

Creative and imaginative activities designed with your developing child in mind. Come by any Roanoke County library to pick up your pack. Supplies are limited and available first come, first serve. Ideal for toddlers and early elementary age children.

Winter Reading Program

From January 11th to March 5th, Roanoke County Public Library will participate in Beanstack’s Fourth Annual Winter Reading Challenge, sponsored by Simon & Schuster. Books Like Us is a celebration of diversity, harnessing the transformative power of seeing oneself reflected in a book. This Winter, participating communities are invited to explore these books, from authors spanning an array of diverse backgrounds. We challenge our patrons to read at least 2 books before March 5th and keep track of their reading on our Beanstack site at rocolibrary.beanstack.org.

Frolic With Fiction

Join us on Zoom and bring a book to discuss and share with the group. Play games and answer trivia. Also, get a sneak peek at the new books that have come into the library you can place on hold. Participants are entered into a drawing for a small prize at the end of each club meeting. Ideal for ages 7-12. Register Online.

Teen Paint Night

VIRTUAL TEEN PROGRAM Supplies provided! Pick up your paint kit and join us on Zoom for another group painting tutorial. This month's picture is a wintry scene. Can't get to the library? No problem. For this paint night, you will need the following supplies: canvas (about 8x10"), paintbrush, something to mix paint on, cup of water, and blue, purple, yellow, white, and black paints.
