Regular meetings of the Board of Supervisors are held at the Roanoke County Administrator Center at 5204 Bernard Drive, SW, Roanoke, Virginia 24018. The meetings are held at 3:00 p.m. Any changes to this schedule will be advertised at least two weeks in advance.
Board of Supervisors meetings are broadcast live on RVTV Channel 3, and will be rebroadcast following the meeting on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
Public hearings, if scheduled, are typically held at 7:00 p.m. on the second meeting date of the month. Contact the Chief Deputy Clerk at (540) 772-2003 for more information.
Children's staff from RCPL engage kids and parents in storytime! Sessions focus on introducing and practicing early literacy skills and activities for children and caretakers. To register for storytime, click on the link and a Zoom link will be emailed to you the morning of the storytime session. For ages birth to 5 years old.
From January 11th to March 5th, Roanoke County Public Library will participate in Beanstack’s Fourth Annual Winter Reading Challenge, sponsored by Simon & Schuster. Books Like Us is a celebration of diversity, harnessing the transformative power of seeing oneself reflected in a book. This Winter, participating communities are invited to explore these books, from authors spanning an array of diverse backgrounds.
We challenge our patrons to read at least 2 books before March 5th and keep track of their reading on our Beanstack site at rocolibrary.beanstack.org.

The Virginia Department of Transportation invites you to attend a virtual design public hearing for a project to widen 5.1 miles of Interstate 81 between exits 137 and 141 in Roanoke County and Salem. The hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. as a virtual event. Click on the link to learn more about the project, comment on the proposed project, and participate in the virtual public hearing on February 9th. VDOT representatives will make a presentation beginning at 5 p.m. and answer questions through the WebEx Chat function after the presentation is completed.
