CAUTION: Your computer usage may be monitored in many ways by an abusive partner. A computer's browser history contains the websites you visit, or software programs may be used to secretly record computer usage. If you believe your computer usage may be monitored, please use a computer in a safe location, such as the home of a trusted friend or a computer at a public place.

Domestic violence and abuse can happen to anyone regardless of race, age, sexual orientation, religion, or gender, yet the problem is often overlooked, excused, or denied.

Domestic violence affects people of all socioeconomic backgrounds and education levels. Domestic violence occurs in both opposite-sex and same-sex relationships and can happen to intimate partners who are married, living together, or dating. The Roanoke County Police Department is dedicated to helping victims in need.

Love should never hurt. If you or someone you know is being abused, please call for help.
