The Roanoke County Criminal Justice Academy was established in September, 2007, as a certified full service academy through the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice.
The Academy was a product crafted from the vision of the executives of Roanoke County and is committed to adhering to the highest ethical and professional standards expected from those employed as law enforcement practitioners.
The Academy is an administrative branch of the Roanoke County Police Department and the Chief of Police has designated a Commander to assume the responsibilities for the conduct and operation of training conducted by the Roanoke County Criminal Justice Academy.
