Directions to the Academy

Location

The Roanoke County Criminal Justice Academy is located at:

5401-B Barns Avenue
Roanoke, VA 24019

From I-581 North

1. Take I-581 north to exit 2N (Peters Creek Road) and then right at the second traffic light (Woodhaven Road).
2. Proceed one block to the intersection with Barns Avenue NW.
3. Continue straight onto the lot of the Roanoke City School Transportation lot and the Academy is located on the right, rear corner of the property (look for the two flag poles). Please do not park in the bus lot – there is parking in the far back corner of the Academy property.

From I-81 North or South

1. Take exit 143 to I-581.
2. Take exit 2N from south bound I-581 and then right at the second traffic light (Woodhaven Road).
3. Proceed one block to the intersection with Barns Avenue NW.
4. Continue straight onto the lot of the Roanoke City School Transportation lot and the Academy is located on the right, rear corner of the property (look for the two flag poles). Please do not park in the bus lot – there is parking in the far back corner of the Academy property.

From Hollins Area

1. Take Peters Creek Road (south) from Williamson Road/Route 11.
2. Proceed to your third traffic light (Woodhaven Road) and turn left.
3. Proceed one block to the intersection with Barns Avenue NW.
4. Continue straight onto the lot of the Roanoke City School Transportation lot and the Academy is located on the right, rear corner of the property (look for the two flag poles). Please do not park in the bus lot – there is parking in the far back corner of the Academy property.
