Initial Screening

Punctuality is critical in our work environment. Please arrive early for an initial screening. Applicants that arrive after their scheduled time will not be admitted under any circumstances. Please review our Communications Officer prerequisites (PDF), disqualifiers (PDF), job responsibilities (PDF), and benefits (PDF) prior to an initial screening. For interested applicants, the initial screening will be your opportunity to pass the basic typing, aptitude testing, and other job-related testing to see if you can qualify to join our team.

Secondary Screening

Applicants that successfully complete an initial screening will be invited to interview for an open position. Applicants must undergo an extensive background check prior to a conditional offer to join our team. During this process, you will tour our 911 Center, observe live 911 operations, and talk to current staff about a career as a 911 professional.
