Annual Comprehensive Financial Report

The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) is prepared by the County's Finance & Management Services Department in accordance with the standards of financial reporting as prescribed by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and the Auditor of Public Accounts of the Commonwealth of Virginia (APA). The ACFR is a detailed presentation of the county's financial position and activities for the fiscal year, and is audited by an independent firm of certified public accountants.

Popular Annual Financial Report

The Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR) was first prepared by the County's Finance & Management Services Department in Fiscal Year 2023. The purpose of this report is to provide citizens with an easy-to-understand summary of the County's financial activities. The data presented in this report is taken from the County's Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (linked in the section above), which is independently audited and presented in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). This is not a required financial publication, and should be used to supplement the annual comprehensive financial report.
