Finance Department Reports

The Finance Department issues yearly reports which include the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR), Department Annual Report (DAR), and Finance Business Plan.

As part of the budget process, each department must establish a business plan that identifies its goals and objectives and a department annual report that focuses on services and activities provided to both internal and external customers and citizens. These are published by Management and Budget in the yearly Annual Fiscal Plan.

Annual Comprehensive Financial Report

The Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) is prepared by the Finance Department in accordance with the standards of financial reporting as prescribed by the Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), and the Auditor of Public Accounts of the Commonwealth of Virginia (APA). The ACFR is a detailed presentation of the county's financial position and activities for the fiscal year.

In Fiscal Year 2020, official guidance for the audit of Coronavirus Relief Funding (CRF) was delayed and therefore delayed the finalization of the Single Audit.  This resulted in the ACFR being issued separately from the Compliance Reports.  A link to the Compliance Reports and Reports of Independent Auditor for Fiscal Year 2020 can be found below the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report Year Ended June 30,2020.
