[ARCHIVED] WRABA Walks Continue in Roanoke County

On August 18, 2016, the Williamson Road Area Business Association (WRABA) hosted a walking tour of a segment of Williamson Road in Roanoke County. Participants, including WRABA members, County Community Development staff, County police and VDOT trekked from Brookside Plaza to the intersection of Williamson Road & Peters Creek Road. The Executive Director of WRABA, Wendy Jones, highlighted local businesses in the area and discussed potential ideas for infrastructure improvements.

The next walks are scheduled for:

Thursday, September 22nd: Peters Creek Road to a location to be determined

Thursday, October 20th: From a location to be determined to Shadwell Drive at the Botetourt County line

Past walks in the City of Roanoke have facilitated improvements, repairs and conversations regarding possible improvements along Williamson Road. Continued walks in Roanoke County may identify similar opportunities to help Williamson Road move to the next level.
