"Recreational

These are the location regulations for residential districts zoned AR, R-1, R-2, R-3 or R-4 (multi-family developments excluded):

If you have a utility trailer, RV, boat or other recreational vehicle at your home it must be kept behind the front building line of your house (to the side or rear), in an enclosed garage or in another building.

If your house is on a corner lot that fronts on two streets, you have only one front building line. On corner and double frontage lots, the front shall be determined by the administrator.

Note that recreational vehicles shall not be used for living or business purposes and shall not be connected to utility services except for maintenance purposes.

For further information or for help determining the front of your lot see Zoning Ordinance Sections 30-91, 30-100-7 and 30-100-8 or call Planning & Zoning at (540) 772-8352.
