[ARCHIVED] Traffic Alert: Emergency Pipe Repair Rescheduled for Old Farm Road (Route 1767) in Roanoke County

SALEM – Beginning at 8 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, crews will close a section of Route 1767 (Old Farm Road) in Roanoke County for emergency pipe repairs.

An alternate route is not available. VDOT will provide transportation for residents from their homes to their vehicles in a nearby parking area. Water service will not be interrupted during the work.

UPDATE: Due to the weather, this work will continue through 5 p.m. on Friday, July 12.

This pipe was damaged during the rain on Tuesday, July 3. Approximately 14 homes are affected by the closure. A scheduling conflict with a utility company postponed the repairs originally scheduled to begin Sunday, July 7.

This work is dependent upon weather and work schedule.
