[ARCHIVED] Traffic Alert: VDOT to Implement Traffic Pattern Change on Colonial Avenue in Roanoke County

SALEM – The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will implement a traffic pattern change on Route 720 (Colonial Avenue) at the commercial entrance to Kroger. The change is expected to be in place on Friday, July 19, once line painting has been completed and the signs have been removed. The traffic change is dependent on weather and work schedule permitting.

The change entails designating the existing lane on eastbound Colonial Avenue at Kroger that serves as a through lane and left turn lane as an exclusive left turn lane. The change is intended to improve safety and help with traffic flow at this intersection.
