[ARCHIVED] Recreation Facilities & Libraries Closed Sunday (1/24) - To Open On Time Monday

Due to continued hazardous road conditions, Roanoke County recreation facilities and public libraries will be closed on Sunday, January 24, 2016.

All activities scheduled on Sunday have been canceled. We plan to re-open on a regular schedule on Monday, January 25. Today Virginia's Governor released a statement pleading with people to stay home on Sunday so that VDOT can plow and remove snow without contending with vehicles on the road.

Green Ridge Recreation Center will resume normal operation starting at 5:30 a.m. on Monday. Stay tuned to www.RoanokeCountyParks.com and www.RoanokeCountyVA.gov for continuing updates.
