[ARCHIVED] Two Community Meetings Set to Present Proposed County Budget

County Administrator Thomas Gates will host two community meetings to present the Proposed Operating Budget for fiscal year 2017-2018 along with the Proposed Capital Improvement Program (CIP) budget for fiscal years 2018-2027.

The County Administrator will examine revenue projections for the coming year, explain major components of the County’s budget and review Roanoke County’s progress toward meeting the initiatives highlighted within last year’s Community Strategic Plan. These proposals were presented to the Board of Supervisors at the March 14 meeting. In the coming weeks, the Board of Supervisors will review the Proposed Budget with the goal of adopting a final Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Program in May.
