UPDATE: Catawba Valley Drive (Route 311) Is Now Open

Catawba Valley Drive is now open. Two subjects are now in custody. More details will be released later this evening by Salem City Police.

Roanoke County Police are conducting an operation involving a heavy police presence in the 3300 block of Catawba Valley Drive (Rt. 311). Catawba Valley Drive is closed from Bradshaw Road to the Appalachian Trail Parking lot.

Roanoke County Public Schools will be communicating directly to parents about afternoon bus routes.
