[ARCHIVED] Hollins Library to be Open on Sunday Afternoons Starting March 11

The Board of Supervisors allocated $6,500 for the Hollins Branch Library to be open on Sunday afternoons from 1:00pm-5:00pm starting on March 11, 2018.

The Hollins Branch Library, located at 6624 Peters Creek Road in Roanoke County, will be the third Roanoke County Public Library to be open on Sunday afternoons. The South County Library, located at 6303 Merriman Road, and the Vinton Branch Library, located at 300 S. Pollard Street in Vinton, are also open on Sunday afternoons.

The Hollins Branch Library is the second busiest library in Roanoke County. Besides being a location to check out books and other items, the Hollins Branch Library offers computers for public use, free WiFi, and holds programs for children, teens, and adults. “We are happy to be able to offer Sunday hours in North Roanoke County. Providing the public with more access to all of the great resources we have will further support Roanoke County’s goal of lifelong learning,” says Shari Henry, Director of Library Services.

To celebrate the new hours, the Hollins Branch Library will host a reception from 1:00 p.m-5:00 p.m. on March 11.
