[ARCHIVED] Roanoke County Police to Host Diversity in Law Enforcement Recruiting Event

(Roanoke County, VA — March 8, 2019) The Roanoke County Police Department will hold a “Diversity in Law Enforcement” recruiting event on Wednesday, March 13 at 7:00 p.m. at the Criminal Justice Academy (5401 Barnes Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24019).

There will be a short presentation about what it is like working in law enforcement and with the department. Officers from a variety of work units will be available for one-on-one conversations to answer questions and share experiences.

Part of the mission of the Roanoke County Police Department is to better engage with the community, be more approachable to those the department serves and more reflective of the community. The department is looking for individuals who are interested in a career in law enforcement and who will serve with integrity, courage, accountability, and respect.
