[ARCHIVED] Wintry Weather Affecting Bent Mountain Road

(Friday, January 15, 2:30 PM) Drivers are asked to please stay clear of Bent Mountain Rd if possible at this time. Police are responding to reports of multiple disabled vehicles in the roadway in approximately the 8700 block - S Curves; to include a jack-knifed tractor-trailer. VDOT is aware of these wintry road conditions and is in the process of spreading salt and plowing. Snow is continuing to accumulate very rapidly causing road conditions to be very dangerous at this time. Please drive slowly and with extreme caution if you have to travel through this area.
