[ARCHIVED] VDOT Requests Virtual Public Input on I-81 Widening between Exits 137 and 141

I 81 widening Graphics for Road Notice

The Virginia Department of Transportation invites you to attend a virtual design public hearing for a project to widen 5.1 miles of Interstate 81 between exits 137 and 141 in Roanoke County and Salem.

The hearing will be held on Tuesday, February 9, from 5 to 7 p.m. as a virtual event. Click on the Project Webpage link to:

1. Learn more about the project
2. Comment on the proposed project
3. Participate in the virtual public hearing on February 9

VDOT representatives will make a presentation beginning at 5 p.m. and answer questions through the WebEx Chat function after the presentation is completed. A recorded version of the presentation will be available on the project page after the hearing. All comments must be postmarked, emailed or submitted by February 19, 2021.
