[ARCHIVED] Shooting in the Garst Mill Rd Area

At approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Roanoke County Police Officers responded to calls about a shooting in the 4300 block of Garst Mill Rd. Officers found a male on the ground outside of an apartment building with gunshot wounds. Officers detained one person near the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The two individuals were known to one another. Charges are pending. The investigation is ongoing.
