[ARCHIVED] Roanoke County and Cox Host Network Expansion for Bent Mountain

On Tuesday, June 7, 2022, leaders from Roanoke County and Cox Communications gathered to announce a new broadband expansion to the Bent Mountain community.

Cox Communications and Roanoke County partnered to extend broadband services to the rural Bent Mountain community this spring, providing 48 homes with fast, reliable broadband services.

Roanoke County’s Windsor Hills Supervisors David Radford and Cox Roanoke Market VP Jeff Merritt spoke about the successful public-private partnership that made this expansion possible, future plans for additional broadband expansion in the region, and the critical role broadband access plays in promoting equity and inclusion in today’s connected world.
