[ARCHIVED] VDOT: Carvins Cove Road in Botetourt Near Roanoke County Line Closed January 3-17, 2012

TRAFFICE ALERT: Pipe Replacement to Close Route 740 in Botetourt County near Roanoke County Line

VDOT reports that beginning Tuesday, January 3, a section of Route 740 (Carvins Cove Road) in Botetourt County will be closed to through traffic due a pipe replacement. The section of Route 740 starts at the end of state maintenance and extends about 0.1 mile south.

The road is expected to remain closed until Tuesday, January 17.

A temporary access road will be in place for homeowners, emergency vehicles and local residents to use on Route 740, but the road will be closed to through traffic and the general public.

These dates are tentative and could be adjusted due to weather and work schedule.
