Hello Roanoke County, I’m Em Poertner and I’m taking over the Out of the Office podcast for season two! I joined Roanoke County in June as the Public Information Specialist. As an avid hiker and outdoor enthusiast, I'm excited to help you plan your next out of the office adventure.

On the first episode of this season, I’m joined by Alex North, from Parks, Recreation and Tourism, as well as Kaelyn Spickler, the former host of the podcast. We share our personal favorite out of the office activities in Roanoke County as well as county events happening in August that you won’t want to miss.
