[ARCHIVED] Social Services Building Closed For Repairs Thursday, September 12

Social Services Building Closed Sept 12 2024

(ROANOKE COUNTY, VA – September 11, 2024) The Roanoke County Social Services Building located at 220 E. Main Street in Salem will be closed on Thursday, September 12, 2024, due to an emergency repair needed for the sewer main pipe that occurred around 5:00 p.m. today. Building Maintenance staff are working to get the line repaired so the building may re-open to the public on Friday. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Clients needing an EBT card can return to our office on Friday, September 13, or visit the Roanoke City Department of Social Services at 1510 Williamson Rd, Roanoke, Virginia 24012, for an emergency card issuance.

Residents needing to make a report in regards to child abuse or neglect can call the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) hotline at 1-800-552-7096.

Residents needing to make a report in regards to adult abuse, neglect, or exploitation, please call the Virginia State hotline at 1-888-832-3858.
