Halloween Events This Weekend at Explore Park!


Friday Evening Boos & Brews

Friday, October 25th at Explore Park from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM. Visit www.RoanokeCountyParks.com for details.

Ages: 21+. Enjoy live music from The Dundies, who offer a diverse set of oldies, classic rock, and country hits. Guests can also enjoy a wide selection of craft beer and delicious food available for purchase from Twin Creeks Brewpub. Halloween wouldn’t be complete without costumes, so rock your most creative costume and get ready for a night of thrilling tunes and fun!      

  • When: Friday, October 25, 2024 – 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Where: Explore Park – Twin Creeks Brewpub
  • Admission: FREE

Saturday Spooktacular Saturday

Saturday, October 26th, from 10 AM to 4 PM! This fun-filled day offers a variety of spooky activities for all ages, making it the perfect way to celebrate Halloween with the family. See the full event schedule below. Visit www.RoaonkeCountyParks.com or for event details.

  • Pumpkin Carving - 11 AM to 2 PM Unleash your creative pumpkin carving skills! Join us for three 40-minute sessions, with up to 20 families or groups allowed per time slot at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 2 PM. Click here to register online. Each group will receive a pumpkin and carving kit.
  • Treetop Quest – Time Slots 10 AM to 2 PM Soar through the trees at Treetop Quest and save $7 off admission during the final operating weekend of 2024! Click here to book your quest!
  • Twilight Zipline at Treetop Quest – Time Slots Begin at 6 PM  Soar through the trees in darkness and strap on a head lamp at Treetop Quest! Start times available from 6 PM to 8:40 PM. Advance registration required for this two-hour experience!
  • Costume Contest – 3 PM to 4 PM
  • Inflatable Axe Throwing – 10 AM to 4 PM
  • Marshmallow Roasting – 10 AM to 4 PM
  • Trick–or–Treat Stations & Activities – 10 AM to 4 PM: Create a Trick-Or-Treat Bag, Paper Plate Moster, Paper Pumpkin Decorating, Guessing Games and more!
  • Roanoke County Public Library Activities – 10 AM to 4 PM: Spooky Scratch Art, Candy Corn Guessing Jar and Pumpkin Surprise Sensory Activity
  • Bug-A-Boo & Spiders Too! 10 AM to 3 PM: Nature Education, Spooky Bug Crafts and Activities
