[ARCHIVED] Roanoke County East Roanoke River Greenway Feasibility Study Community Meetings

(February 3, 2025) — Roanoke County is hosting two meetings for the community to review, discuss and comment on potential greenway routes to connect existing segments of the Roanoke River Greenway between the City of Roanoke and new greenway constructed near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The meetings are identical and will be open-house style where attendees can come and go as they please:

February 5, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Charles R. Hill Community Center, 820 Washington Avenue, Vinton, VA 24179
February 10, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Elementary School, 3216 Mount Pleasant Boulevard, Roanoke, VA 24014

The inclement weather date is February 19, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Charles R. Hill Community Center.

A survey to provide feedback on the potential routes is available online until February 28, 2025. Visit the project webpage at www.RoanokeCountyVA.gov/ERRGGap to view the map, access the survey and find additional information.

A second round of community meetings will be held this summer to review and comment on the potential routes chosen for additional study.
