[ARCHIVED] Driver Injured When Texting, Loses Control

On Saturday, Febrary 9, 2013, officers of the Roanoke County Police Department were dispatched to the 7700 block of Bradshaw Road for a single vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 0940 hours. Initial investigation reveals that the driver was texting while driving and lost control of her vehicle; the vehicle then struck several trees.

It is unknown at this time as to whether alcohol and/or drugs were a factor in the crash. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Anyone with any information in relation to this crash is requested to contact Officer Bruch at (540) 777-8667.
