[ARCHIVED] NWS: Possible flash flooding this week.

Be cautious of heavy rain and possbile flash flooding tonight and tomorrow! The National Weather service says that late tonight and Tuesday the focus for flash flooding will shift to the Roanoke Valley, New River Valley and the eastern slopes of the Blue Ridge. An additional 2-4" of rain is expected, with locally heavier amounts.

This may result in flooding of creeks and streams, water covered roads, downed trees due to wet soils, and isolated rock/mud slides. Flooding of some main stream rivers is also expected.
