[ARCHIVED] Update on Brush Collection Efforts (6/25/13 4:25 PM)

Due to the heavy demand for collection after the recent storm, brush collection is significantly delayed in Roanoke County. Crews have finished collection for last week's A-Week routes, picking up 185 loads of brush - more than four times the amount of a typical week.

On Tuesday, June 25, brush collection crews have begun pickup for this week's Monday B routes and will continue working until all routes have been collected. B-Week routes will continue to see delays this week. Please place all brush to the curb on your usual collection day and we will get to your street as soon as we can.

** Please do not mix bulk items with the brush as the brush cannot be collected with bulk intermingled.**

If you have any questions, please contact the Solid Waste Division as 387-6225. Thank you for your patience during this collection period. We will continue to provide periodic updates regarding our progress.
