SALEM — In September, the Commonwealth Transportation Board (CTB) awarded 10 contracts totaling approximately $13.5 million for paving and road maintenance in the Salem District.
At their September 18 meeting in Fredericksburg, the CTB awarded five contracts totaling approximately $6.1 million for paving along some secondary routes in Henry, Franklin, Bedford, Giles, Montgomery, Pulaski, Carroll and Floyd counties. The contracts were awarded to Adams Construction Co. of Roanoke.
Two contracts totaling approximately $5.1 million for paving and resurfacing in Bedford, Franklin and Henry counties were awarded to Templeton Paving, LLC of Lynchburg.
Additionally, two contracts for road resurfacing was awarded to Whitehurst Paving Company, Incorporated of Richmond valued at approximately $2 million for work in Bedford, Franklin, Henry and Patrick counties.
A contact in the amount of $301, 078 was awarded to APAC-Atlantic, Inc. of Greensboro, NC for paving various secondary routes in Franklin County.
The Salem District includes the counties of Bedford, Botetourt, Carroll, Craig, Floyd, Franklin, Giles, Henry, Montgomery, Patrick, Pulaski and Roanoke.
