[ARCHIVED] Garbage Collection Notice for Wednesday, January 22, 2014

Roanoke County's General Services Department reports that icy road conditions in many neighborhoods will delay trash collection for Wednesday, January 22. This delay affects regular trash, bulk, and brush collection due to the inclement weather.

Solid Waste staff is currently checking road conditions in several areas throughout the County to determine if the roads are clear enough to allow for garbage collection.

As soon as road conditions permit, Solid Waste will begin working to collect both Tuesday and Wednesday routes.

Residents are asked to place their container at the street on their regular collection day and leave it until collected.

All updates will be posted on this website and the County's Facebook page as they become available. Any questions, please contact the Solid Waste Division at (540) 387-6225.
