The Roanoke County Police Department regularly presents crime prevention information to the community. A focus this year is on programs designed for parents and children. Every year, hundreds of children fall prey to crimes that originate with social media. This workshop can save a child’s life.
The workshop schedule is:
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Resource fair for children, teens, and parents, as well as police vehicle displays, bike officers and K-9's.
7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Discussion geared for students and what could happen to them and how to be safer while using the various social media.
8:00 PM - 9:00 PM Discussion for parents and adults about warning signs and ways they can keep their children safe.
