SALEM – Weather permitting, a lane closure will be in place Thursday, April 24, on Elm Avenue in Roanoke from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. the following morning.
The closure is necessary to install girders on the bridge over the Norfolk and Southern railroad tracks. The lane closure will reduce Elm Avenue to one through lane in each direction and one turn lane.
This work is part of the Elm Avenue/I-581 interchange improvement project. The estimated completion date for this project is summer 2015.
