[ARCHIVED] Traffic Alert - Catawba Valley Dr

On Wednesday July 9, 2014, at approximately 0639 hours, the Roanoke County Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Catawba Valley Drive at the intersection with Rusty Road in reference to a traffic crash involving multiple vehicles. As a result, this intersection is blocked at this time. Motorists are asked to avoid this area. Motorists can detour around the accident scene by using Bradshaw Road and Oakey Dolin Road. This detour is not recommended for heavy trucks or tractor-trailers. It is unknown at this time how long the roadway will be blocked. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
