Lane closures will be in place on north and southbound I-581 in Roanoke beginning Monday, July 28, as the contractor constructs walking platforms along the bridge for crews to use during construction.
Two lanes of this three lane section of I-581 will be closed during the work from 10 p.m. each night until 6 a.m. the following morning. Northbound lane closures will be in place Monday, July 28, Tuesday, July 29 and Friday, Aug. 1. Southbound lane closures will be in place Wednesday, July 30 and Thursday, July 31.
Additionally, southbound shoulder closures may be in place during daylight hours Monday through Friday for brush clearing.
