SALEM – Weather permitting, lane closures are scheduled for southbound Interstate 81 near mile marker 137 Friday, Aug., 15 through Sunday, Aug., 17. The closures are necessary for improvements to the bridge over Route 112 (Wildwood Road) in Roanoke County.
On Friday, Aug., 15, one southbound lane of I-81 will be closed for repairs to the bridge deck from 8 p.m. until 6 a.m. Saturday morning.
On Saturday, Aug. 16, a southbound shoulder closure will be in place from noon until 4 p.m. One southbound lane will be closed for the bridge deck overlay from 4 p.m. until 8 a.m. the following morning.
