(Roanoke County, VA) September 12, 2014 – Following the announcement by Roanoke County Fire and Rescue Chief Richard Burch on his intent to retire, Interim County Administrator Dan O’Donnell said today, “Chief Burch should be commended for building one of the best fire and rescue departments in the Commonwealth. I have worked with Chief Burch for 14 years and I have seen firsthand his dedication not only to creating best-in-class fire and rescue services, but also to serving the citizens of Roanoke County.
